Ljuba Popovic (1934–2016), known as Ljuba, was a painter, draughtsman and printmaker of Serbian origin. His artistic practice gave rise to a visionary and baroque body of work, populated by hybrid figures and unsettling metamorphoses. Blending eroticism, fantasy and unease, her painting explores the deep-seated tensions of the unconscious through a virtuosic and unique aesthetic.
