The Body: an Ephemeral Object of Attraction
Why does the body catch our attention? When a person creates a work, they often represent a fixed point in time. It can be considered an ephemeral moment if what is frozen is a passing manifestation, even if its material trace endures. Beyond appearances, the body can evoke emotions and encourage the spectator’s empathy, but it can also conceal fragments. All it takes is for the gaze to complete the rest.
