a new event for contemporary art lovers and collectors
Building on 29 years of expertise in Strasbourg, where ST-ART has established itself as the region’s leading contemporary art fair, the brand has taken a new step forward with the launch of ST-ART Bretagne. Held for the first time in Rennes, at the Couvent des Jacobins, this inaugural edition was a resounding success, attracting a large number of visitors and receiving a very positive response from both the public and industry professionals. Building on this momentum, ST-ART Bretagne is already looking forward to welcoming visitors from 23 to 27 January 2027 for an even more ambitious new edition.
Visitors turned out in force for this first edition
On an intimate scale, within an iconic landmark of the Breton capital, ST-ART brought together 23 art galleries from Brittany and the rest of France for the first time in the region, attracting nearly 4,870 visitors. Art lovers and seasoned collectors from Brittany were captivated by an eclectic and high-quality selection, resulting in numerous purchases ranging from a few hundred to several thousand euros.
A new destination for up-and-coming galleries
A new venue offering emerging galleries a strategic foothold in the Breton art market, which is currently experiencing a cultural boom. This inaugural edition in Rennes will serve to reaffirm ST-ART’s identity, establishing it as an unmissable event for collectors and art professionals in a city with a rich historical heritage.
The Couvent des Jacobins, an exceptional setting in the heart of the historic district
The Couvent des Jacobins is a historic building dating back to the 14th century that has been sustainably renovated and equipped with everything needed to host events. With its blend of historic and modern architecture, it is the perfect setting for a contemporary art fair. It is also one of the few conference centres in France located right in the city centre. An ideal location that allows everyone to enjoy life in Rennes.
This year, the convent is hosting an exhibition of the Pinault collection dedicated to contemporary art in Rennes. All that was missing was a contemporary art fair to complete this offering and attract collectors from the region and beyond.
