Born in Rueil-Malmaison in 1952, he studied photography and the visual arts in Paris and, in 1972, joined the RIGAL Studio in Fontenay aux Roses. Appointed intaglio engraver in 1975, he worked under the direction of Master Engraver, Gaston Gerbault until 1976.
In 1977, he opened his own studio in Paris before going on to open a studio in Colmar in 1983. Since then, numerous international artists have had their work printed in his studio. Since 1989, he has been publishing contemporary engravings under the “Editions Rémy Bucciali” name and has worked in tandem with numerous French and foreign galleries in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cologne, Rotterdam, Stockholm and Düsseldorf.
He also takes part in numerous international fairs, such as Art Paris, Art Elysées, ST-ART Strasbourg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, ART Karlsruhe, London Print Art Fair and AAF Brussels. Editions Rémy Bucciali
After 20 years in a ready-to-wear firm and already a collector of French and European abstract art from the 1950s and 1960s, he opened a gallery in Strasbourg in 1997 on the Place du Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain. After 7 years in Strasbourg, he opened a showroom in Paris and, since 2006, has settled on the Île de Ré where he opens to the public 6 months of the year. She began her professional career in Saint Etienne in the health sector. In 1991, she made a professional reconversion by taking over the management of a contemporary art gallery with her husband Olivier Houg. In 1996, they opened a new contemporary art space in the center of Lyon and repositioned the gallery at an international level.
In 2005, with Georges Verney-Carron and Olivier Houg, she organized the Spencer Tunick event. In 2006, she participated in the creation of the international contemporary art fair “ShowOff” in Paris. In 2007, she created the first biennial contemporary art fair in Lyon “Docks Art Fair”.
In 2011, she joined the GL Events group to take over the management of La Sucrière in Lyon and to manage the cultural program of the dedicated 1,700m² space. In this context, she curated in 2012 the Chiaru Shiota exhibition “Labyrinth of Memory” and the Erwin Olaf exhibition “Installations till”. In 2013, she hosted the second part of the Gianni Colosimo exhibition “L’art contemporain raconté aux enfants”, in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou Metz.
In 2014, she was appointed Director of Cultural Development for the GL Events Group and Cultural Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Strasbourg Events in 2016. The same year, she became Artistic Director of ST-ART.
